LIQUI MOLY Diesel Purge is a diesel fuel-system cleaner developed to remove deposits from injection nozzles and the combustion chamber. Its cleaning action helps support effective fuel injection, smooth engine operation and reliable combustion.

The formula helps increase the cetane number, supports protection against corrosion throughout the fuel system and can help address diesel-engine running problems such as knocking at idle. It can be used preventively during scheduled maintenance or as a targeted cleaning treatment when recommended by a qualified technician.

Suitable for compatible diesel engines with or without a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), Diesel Purge is also tested for turbocharger compatibility. The manufacturer states that a 500 ml can is sufficient to treat up to 75 litres of fuel when used as directed.

• Remedial Cleaning

The manufacturer also describes a direct-cleaning procedure in which the fuel feed and return lines are disconnected and the engine is run using Diesel Purge directly.
